How to Open the Windows Task Manager
Start the Task Manager on a Microsoft Windows computer.
Right-click an empty area of the taskbar, and then click Task Manager.
The Windows Task Manager can be used to start programs, to end running applications, to start or to end processes, as well as to view a dynamic display of your computer's performance.
To be able to start the Windows Task Manager, you can use any one of the three following actions (on a Windows computer):
- Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
- Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Start Task Manager.
- Right-click an empty area of the taskbar, and then click Task Manager.
