How to Make a White Russian Cocktail Drink Recipe
The Dude Abides!

The White Russian (or Caucasian) cocktail drink became popular in the 1960s and 70s. More recently the movie 'The Big Lebowski' brought about a new resurgance for the sweet cocktail. A classic White Russian is made from vodka, coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa or Tia Maria) and cream served in an old-fashioned glass with ice. As a subsitute for cream, Milk or half and half or Baileys Irish Cream are often used. A heavier-bodied version can be made with less vodka and more coffee liqueur.
Ingredients
- 2 fl oz (60 ml) vodka
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (like Kahlua)
- 2 tablespoons light cream
- Ice cubes
Directions
Pour all of the ingredients into a shaker two-thirds full of ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into an ice-filled Old-Fashioned glass.
