Can you delete already sent messages on facebook?

Can you delete private messages that have already been sent on facebook?

Go to the “Messages” page. You can select Delete Messages in the Actions tab on the top right. Then you have to select a message and choose whether you want to delete only the selected one or the whole conversation.

No, you can delete the message from your account, but not from theirs!
