How do I get my cat to eat cat food instead of treat food (Greenies)?

Does he really need to eat wet food?

Most cat owners will agree that most of our cats are picky eaters. But the bottom line is, as long as you feed your cat treat food (Greenies) as the staple of his diet, he will turn his nose up on any food. He will not let himself starve though. He doesn’t “need” wet food and can survive on dry food. Put in a bowl a good quality, as good as you can afford dry food on his bowl and put it out for him. Withhold any treats, people food, anything but the food in the bowl and some fresh water. Within a day or so, I can almost guarantee your cat will be more than happy to nom on the dry food in the bowl.
