First you need to install EPSON Event Manager software. Download it from Drivers & Downloads.
Firewall applications might block communication between the printer and your computer, therefore you need to make a program exception in the Firewall settings.
To start scanning, go to the Programs Menu, go to Epson Software, there select Event Manager and click the Button Settings. Set all to EPSON Scan and click Close. Then select something like Scanners and Cameras or Devices and Printers on the Control Panel. Right-click the printer's name, click Properties and then Events. Select Scan Button then Epson Event Manager, click Apply then OK.
