How long does it take for the IRS to take the amount I owed in Federal taxes out of my bank account? I e-filed my Taxes over a week ago, they were accepted, but I still do not see the amount I owed deducted from my bank account.

So I e-filed my taxes using TurboTax on April 2nd. Both my federal taxes and NY state taxes were accepted the same day. NY state deducted the amount I owed from my Bank account on Monday, April 6th. The IRS finally deducted the amount I owed from my Bank account on Monday April 13th (first thing in the morning around 7am).So don't get too worried if you don't see it deducted from your bank account for at least two weeks. The IRS seems to want you to wait at least that long (14 days), before check with the IRS. You should also be able check your filing status, via Intuit / TurboTax website.
