What is the right amount of food to feed a 10-pound puppy? Is there anything in particular I should keep in mind when feeding a 10-pound puppy?

How much to feed a puppy is a question that can be answered by taking into consideration several factors. These include the puppy’s weight, size, breed, age, the type of food that will be fed, and several other factors.

Looking at the back of the bag of dog food is usually helpful as well as most will tell you how many servings or cups should be fed to the dog, depending on its size. Keep in mind that commercial dog food typically contains a considerable amount of fillers such as wheat, corn or soy. This means that your puppy may consume a greater amount of food when it is given this in order to absorb the nutrients it needs.
