Is it better to get a female dog or a male dog?

What are the gender differences between female dogs and male dogs? Is one gender better than the other?

There are pros and cons to purchasing or adopting either a male dog or a female dog. The most advisable thing to do might be to make a list of the traits that you are looking for when it comes to a pet and make your decision based on that.

Female dogs tend to be sweeter, more moody and emotional, while male dogs are known for being more bold and aggressive. However, this general description will also vary from breed to breed. For instance, regardless of gender, breeds such as the basset hound and the pug are both very affectionate and loving.
