Is it cruel to neuter my cat?

Will my cat feel any pain if I have it neutered? What are the pros and cons to getting my cat neutered?

Having your cat neutered actually comes with many benefits for both you and your cat. Your cat does not feel any pain whatsoever during the procedure as it is unconscious during the surgery. Cats that are neutered often exhibit better health and behaviour. The smell of the urine also becomes less pungent. Lastly, a neutered male cat is often a less aggressive one, towards both other cats and people.

This may be true--that it's not cruel--I just had my cat neutered and I feel sad for him and guilty, too. It'd be nice is he could have a more natural existence.
