What does being with someone mean after a post on Facebook?

Lets say someone post something on facebook and it will read jodi was with meagan roark. Does that mean they are physically with each other or have just been tagged?

It means they were tagged by the Friend who made the post. Typically, you'd assume that they are physically with the person, but that's not always the case. Sometimes people tag friends this way for fun, whom aren't with each other at the time. Other times, this "with" tagging is used by accident, instead of "photo" facial tagging.

So to answer your question, No the person does not have to actually be with the other person at the time to get "with" tagged on facebook.
