What does the acronym BOS mean in a text message? What's the meaning of the abbreviation BOS in an online chat message or on Facebook and Twitter?

BOS in a text message means "Boyfriend Over Shoulder". 

Boyfriend Over Shoulder means that somebody (usually a girl) can't really talk (on the phone), or chat because their boyfriend is in the room (or close by) and don't have any privacy.
