"tl;dr" stands for Too long ; Didn't read.

It's used to tell when someone writes that their overly wordy or long message (or email), is too long and they don't want to really read it, but reply to it anyway.

It can also be used as a humorous reply to tell someone to get to the point.
It may also be a form of trolling when used within a forum thread.
