How can I find out the version of the Windows operating system am I running?

You can easily find out which version of Windows you're running. Here's how to check the operating system and service pack that your Windows computer is running:

1) Click the Start button
2) Then type "winver" in the search box, and then press Enter.

An "About Windows" box will pop-up with the details of your computers operating system, build and Service Pack.
