In most parts of the U.S., traditional braces will cost on average around $5,000. These costs may not include x-rays, extractions, or special appliances. The amount of work that needs to be done on the teeth will essentially determine the cost, so it could range up to as much as $10,000. Ceramic braces cost approximately $500 more than a set of metal braces.

Invisalign treatment (in most cases) costs just about the same as traditional braces, so on average Invisalign will cost around $5,000.
