Eating grass is definitely not essential to a cat’s health as it is low in nutritional value and is actually indigestible to cats. One thing that most veterinarians agree on is that grazing seems to come naturally to both domestic and wild cats. Although it consists mostly of fibre, eating grass is helpful to a cat’s digestive process.
