How to Hard Reset and Reboot your iPhone

by Updated June 26, 2013

Like most electronic device, your iPhone is required to be rebooted from time to time. It needs an occasional “hard reset.” This process doesn’t delete any of the data that you have placed on your gadget. It simply reboots your device without having you turn it off by following the standard procedure.

1.) Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button of your phone simultaneously.

2.) Do step no. 1 until you get your device to shut down and the screen goes black.

3.) Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for your iPhone to automatically reboot itself . Let go of the 2 buttons only after seeing the logo of Apple on your phone.  You may have to wait from 15 seconds to 1 minute for this happen.

3.) Once your iphone Passcode screen shows up (if you have a password), your Hard reset is now successfully done on your phone.

Note: Don’t worry if it’s taking you more than 1 minute to have your iPhone completely turned on again. In some cases it can take more than a few minutes to completely reset.
