Hemp milk is a perfect and nutritious alternative to dairy and skim milk especially for people who are lactose intolerant and those who have soy allergies. Hemp milk boasts high levels of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids that are very friendly to the heart and brain. They can also strengthen the immune system and prevent certain illnesses. They are also rich in calcium and many producers of hemp milk fortify their products with Vitamin D and B2 making it an essential alternative to dairy and skim milk.

How Hemp Milk is Made
Hemp milk is made by grinding and pulverizing seeds from industrial hemp plants. These industrial hemp plants can be planted, grown, and harvested in many countries but, US does not allow the production of these plants but they do allow imports of these products probably because of its close association with the illegal marijuana plant. People can also make their own home-made hemp milk by mixing the processed hemp seeds in a blender together with water and strain out the solid particles. After that, it can be stored in the refrigerator where it can be readily consumed.

The plant is highly praised because of its nutritional components that can surely compete with even the dairy and skim milk that people usually consume. This is quite popular milk and is even produced with different flavors such as strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. The flavors will improve the taste of this product and make it even more appealing to the consumers.

People who usually drink hemp milk are those who follow a strict vegetarian diet and those who are lactose intolerant. Usually the resort to drinking skim milk but there are also other people who are allergic to the drink and many does not like the taste. Hemp milk provides ample nutrients enough to cover some of the nutritional needs of a person and it is tasty too.
